Premium Lamb from Rare Welsh Breeds
Farmed on the lush pasture of the South Downs.
We farm two Welsh rare breeds of sheep within the South Downs National Park.
Balwens originated in the Tywi valley in Carmarthenshire and have a strong presence in that area of Wales. However, there are limited numbers in England.
Welsh Mountain Badger Faces originated in Wales but are now found across the UK both on the hills as well as on lowland such as the pasture around Ramsdean.
The sheep are naturally fed on Hampshire grass and hay.

We have a small flock of 50 breeding ewes and three rams. The lambs which we do not want to keep for the breeding flock are carefully prepared by Butcher and Larder in Liss and presented in half lamb boxes. Each box includes:
Leg
Chump Steaks
Loin Chops
Rack
Shoulder
Neck
Breast – rolled
The availability of lamb boxes during the year depends on the growth rate of the lambs. The price of a box will also vary according to the weight. If you are interested, please send us an email to info@ramsdeanlamb.co.uk and we will contact you next time boxes are available and you can then place your order.
